BRIDGET visit to Garmisch

Within the bridging postdoc project BRIDGET, Sibylle Hassler visited the TERENO project partners (mainly Matthias Mauder and Ralf Kiese) at KIT’s Campus Alpine in Garmisch-Partenkirchen from 21st to 22nd of October. Besides an excursion to the field sites to get to know the different characteristics and instrumentation there was ample time for discussion. A presentation of the goals of BRIDGET to all people who were interested and subsequent discussion led to a good baseline for the necessary features of the envisioned ET package to make it useful for the researchers. The visit concluded with an exchange of data, metadata, pre-processing routines and open research questions with both the eddy covariance and lysimeter experts.
