BRIDGET started

Eddy covariance stations at the UFZ’s TERENO pasture and forest sites.

The bridging postdoc project BRIDGET started with a kickoff visit of Sibylle Hassler at UFZ Leipzig from 15th to 18th of July. The visit include a presentation in the working group’s seminar, discussion of research questions and collaboration with Corinna Rebmann and Anke Hildebrandt and an in-depth introduction to Eddy Covariance measurements, the associated data and metadata structures, uncertainties and pre-processing routines. Another important focus of the meeting was getting to know the three TERENO field sites (grassland, agriculture, forest), their monitoring setup, sensors and auxiliary measurements on a full-day field trip. All relevant data and metadata was shared, as a first contribution and test dataset to the future BRIDGET package.
