4th Data Science Symposium at HZG

Addressing challenges in the context of Big Data requires data infrastructures and innovative data science methods across disciplines. Diverse activities within and outside HGF deal with these challenges. The series of Data Science Symposia fosters knowledge exchange and collaboration in the Earth and Environment research community.

The 4th Data Science Symposium took place at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht on the 20-21 June 2019. We intended to have a balanced mixture of keynotes, talks, demos, and poster presentations with ample time for discussions, as well as networking opportunities and conversations. We invited contributions to the overarching topics of data science and data infrastructures. Finally, 75 experts in the data science field gathered the symposium to discuss new and innovative data solutions.
