2nd Data Science Symposium

From 19 to 20 April 2018 more than 50 scientists from six institutions all over Germany, including scientists directly involved in Digital Earth, met for the first Data Science Symposium held at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel.

The event provided a platform for natural and data scientists to discuss future challenges concerning data handling and provision in Earth and Environmental sciences.The Data Science Symposium is a joint initiative by GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and AWI Alfred-Wegener-Institut für Polar- und Meeresforschung HZG Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Center for Materials and Coastal Research.
